Comyn Family Castles
The major castles of the senior Comyns until the death of the Red Comyn were Dalswinton, Ruthven (now the site of Ruthven Barracks), Inverlochy, Balvenie, Lochindorb, Bedrule, Machan and Kirkintilloch. They also held English lands such as Thornton and Tarset in Tynedale (Northumberland).
